WATERSHED BIO CONFERENCES

Project Type: Conference Management, Booth Design, Graphic Design, Merchandise Design, Social Media & Email Campaigns.

Project Details: Oversaw the design and management of all conference appearances.

Year: 2024-2025

BACKGROUND

During my time at Watershed Bio I created a robust yearly conference program. Evaluating opportunities across key metrics including attendee type, registration levels and attendee satisfaction. For each conference I designed the booth layout and all digital and print materials. Giving myself and my team a professional and eye-catching space to drive new leads and connect with current/potential clients.

PRINT MATERIALS

I designed a variety of print materials unique to each conference. These included sell-sheets, pricing pages, booth backdrops and giveaway advertisements. Tracking success through QR code scans and post-conference follow-up emails.

MERCHANDISE DESIGN

Branded merchandise was a great way to drive traffic to conference booths and helped foster brand awareness and recognition both during and after the conferences. A selection of my favorites are shown below including: A RAM plush internally named Cachemere, a selection of acrylic logo pins and a temporary tattoo inspired by flow cytometry.

SOCIALS, EMAIL AND ANALYTICS

Media outreach plays a crucial role in the success of conferences. Working with our sales and commercial team I put together a schedule of social media posts and emails that would be sent out before, during and after each conference.

Resulting analytics from these marketing campaigns plus badge/material scans were monitored closely to identify successful messaging and areas for improvement. Leading a post conference review was also a great source of insight into what worked/needs attention in future activations.

INTERACTIVE ACTIVATIONS

One of my most successful booth activations was the Watershed Bio gacha machine. Booth visitors would fill out a short survey about their professional background/interests and were then given a token to place into the machine. Once the lock was turned a brightly colored ball would roll out containing a picture of their prize. Visitors had the chance to win Watershed Bio merchandise and an apple watch. The Gatcha machine was incredibly popular at multiple conferences, leading to 60-100+ additional leads captured.
