INTRODUCTION

As the design, marketing and engagement manager at Watershed Bio I was in charge of planning, designing and sharing all visuals across marketing channels (Socials/Emails/Blogs/Web+). This included creating bespoke graphics and unique campaign ideas, a few of which are showcased below:

BUILDING TRUST - WHITE PAPERS & CASE STUDIES

Building trust and credibility for the Watershed Bio brand was an important focus within my work. Spearheading the design of white papers and case studies helped to develop a deeper level of trust and understanding between Watershed and their current/potential clients. These projects, including the one shown below, helped evolve my understanding of graphic communication within the life sciences. Allowing me to convey complex bioinformatics concepts into digestible and eye-catching infographics and illustrations.

PRESENTATIONS

I also worked collaboratively across departments to develop dynamic presentations for sales pitches, data showcases, conference talks and more. Below is an example of one such presentation, given by Dr. Morgan at the Festival of Genomics. This talk increased not only in-person booth traffic but resulted in an increased generation of potential leads posts-conference.

WEBINARS & INTERVIEWS

Hosting webinars and Science Chat interviews has been a great way to connect with the biotech community. I worked one-on-one with professionals across the life sciences to share their expertise and collaborate with Watershed Bio. These interactions were a fantastic way for me to learn as a designer in the life science space, creating visuals for webinars, advertising collaborations on socials and getting to meet amazingly talented individuals across the globe. Project Type: Marketing & Visual Communication Design.

Project Details: During my time at Watershed Bio the brand went through a visual overhaul. I worked closely with an external agency to ensure a seamless transformation across all visual materials and marketing channels.

BACKGROUND

Below are a selection of social, blog and email graphics I created using Watershed’s updated branding. Focusing on rich purples and the use of light and gradients.

BUSINESS CARDS

New business cards were also designed to reflect Watershed Bio’s new brand direction.

CONFERENCES

Designing and managing conference appearances was a significant task throughout my time at Watershed. This included designing all marketing hand-outs, social advertisements, swag, booth design and email communications. Below is a small selection of design material created for conferences.
